Death in the Open

In the wild theater of nature,
death wears no shroud of sorrow—
it steps forth, bare and essential,
an echo in the symphony of life.

Fallen leaves and withered blooms
whisper secrets to the soil,
their decay a silent hymn
to the rebirth that follows every end.

Beneath the sun’s unyielding gaze,
the humble microbe and tireless fungi
perform their ancient dance,
transforming endings into tender beginnings.

No mournful dirge fills the air—
only the gentle pulse of renewal,
a reminder that every dissolution
nurtures the promise of future growth.

In this open realm,
death is not the final word,
but the quiet, ceaseless turning
of nature’s eternal wheel.
